Become a Clinical Preceptor
Explore ways that you can help facilitate training for international medical students and earn some extra money.

Becoming a clinical preceptor is a rewarding opportunity for physicians and practices to contribute to the future of healthcare while enhancing their own professional development. Nautical Health Concepts and BBA Respiratory and Sleep Management have partnered to create a one-of-a-kind Clinical Rotation Program offers a practice experience with training opportunities in Value Based Care, Population Health , and Healthcare Management.

Benefits of Becoming a Clinical Preceptor

1. Professional Development: Engaging with medical students encourages preceptors to stay current with medical knowledge and best practices, fostering continuous learning and professional growth.

2. Enhanced Practice Operations: Students can assist with patient histories, perform basic tests, and support non-clinical tasks, thereby improving workflow efficiency and allowing the practice to serve more patients effectively.

3. Leadership and Teaching Skills: Serving as a preceptor develops leadership abilities and teaching competencies, which are valuable assets in any medical career.

4. Access to Academic Resources: Affiliation with educational institutions through preceptorship often grants access to medical journals, research databases, and continuing education opportunities, enriching the preceptor's knowledge base.

5. Community Contribution: By training future healthcare professionals, preceptors give back to the community, ensuring a well-prepared medical workforce for the future.

6. Potential for Adjunct Faculty Appointment: Long-term commitment to precepting may lead to adjunct faculty positions, enhancing professional credentials and opening avenues for academic collaboration.
